The store I buy my yarn from, Windsor Button, is closing. I’m so so so sad. It’s family own and run and has been around for like 75 years. It’s been in the location it is in now for about 25 years. The guy who owns the store is one of the nicest people ever and it’s such a sweet little hole-in-the-wall store. It was so sad to go there. They had a memory book that they were having people sign and I wrote a note thanking them for all they’ve taught me and for providing one of my stress reliefs and basically getting me through college. It’s also the only store in Boston that carrys the yarn I use AND one of the only craft stores. Boston has very few craft stores, which bums me out so hard.
I bought as much yarn as I could today. They didn’t have a whole lot left of what I use. I guess I’m going to have to start ordering more online and keeping a bigger stock. I usually just go and buy the yarn when people order things because I don’t keep much around. I guess I’m going to have to change the way I do my custom orders. Or just make more ready to ship pieces. I don’t know. I also bought a couple crew neck sweatshirts and want to play around with those. I really want to branch out and start doing more than knits.
